The Font Weld Test
Three checks that tell you whether a script font will weld into one cuttable shape, before you spend anything.

"Best script font for Cricut" is the wrong question. The fonts that photograph well in a listing and the fonts that weld into a single cuttable shape are different sets, and the listing rarely tells you which one you are looking at.
Three properties decide it, and all three are visible in the specimen image before you buy. This is those three, on paper, beside your laptop.
What is in it
Two A4 pages.
Page one — the three checks, what to look at in the specimen, and what each failure actually does to the vinyl. Tick boxes for each, in the order that catches the most expensive mistake first.
Page two — a scoring sheet. One row per font you are considering, so eight candidates can be compared without opening eight tabs and losing track of which was which.
What it is not
It recommends no font and links to no shop. It works against whatever specimen you already have open, which is why it stays useful after any particular font goes out of fashion or changes its licence.
It also tells you nothing about whether you may sell what you make — that is a separate question with a separate answer, and the more expensive one to get wrong. Four questions settle most real cases.
