Affiliate Disclosure
What the affiliate links here are, what they earn, and what that does and does not change about the recommendations.
The short version
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you follow one and buy something, Indigo & Paper may receive a commission. It costs you nothing extra — the price is the same as it would be had you gone directly.
Every page carrying an affiliate link says so at the top, before the article begins. Individual affiliate links are additionally marked in the page's markup as sponsored links.
Who the partners are
At present, Creative Fabrica. It is a marketplace and subscription service for fonts, cut files, printables and craft designs, and it is where the font-related and printable-related links on this site point.
If that list grows, this page changes with it. It is the complete list, not a sample.
What is and is not affected by it
Not affected: whether something appears here at all. Several articles on this site recommend against buying — the desk article argues that almost every accessory changes nothing, and the journaling articles name four popular spread types as not worth the page. Those stay in.
Not affected: the free options. Where a free version of something exists, it is named as free and linked as free.
Affected, and worth stating plainly: which merchant gets linked when several would serve. Where I link a category rather than a specific product, that is usually because I have not tested the specific products and am not willing to rank them, not because I am hiding a preference.
The rules this site holds itself to
- No invented details. No prices, product names, font names, or catalogue counts appear here unless checked. Where a claim could not be verified, the article stays general instead of filling the gap with something plausible.
- No fabricated experience. If a technique has not been tested here, it is described as a rule of thumb rather than presented as tested.
- No stock recommendations dressed as personal ones.
- No self-purchasing through the site's own links.
Why the disclosure sits at the top
Disclosure that appears after the recommendation is not disclosure, it is a footnote. The relationship is stated before the argument so you can read the argument knowing about it.
Questions
If you want to know whether a specific link is an affiliate link, the answer is in the page: affiliate links point at /go/ addresses on this domain. Anything else is an ordinary link.
