Privacy
How email addresses from our free-resource forms are used, including the habit tracker, Household Handover Starter and Letter-Writing Starter, and what happens at checkout.
What this site collects
There are two analytics measures. The first is Cloudflare Web Analytics, added by the host when the site was deployed. It counts page views, and records the page requested, the referring site, an approximate country, and the browser and device type. It is cookieless and assigns no identifier, so it cannot follow you between visits or between sites, and nothing it reports can be traced back to a person.
The second is our own page-view log (since 2 October 2026), kept so we can tell whether a pin, post or search listing actually brought a visit. For each page load it records only the time, the page path (without anything after a ?), the campaign tags in the link you followed if it had any, and the kind of site that sent you (for example "google", "pinterest", "none", or the name of one of the few resource sites we have asked to list our free tools), never the address you came from. Since 3 October 2026 it also records two kinds of event the same way, with no more detail: that a Buy link was clicked (and for which product), and that an email form was completed (never the address). If you have read an article that is part of a test of whether a product is worth making, the rows also carry that test's label, such as "sitter-handover-01". It records no IP address, no browser details, no location and no identifier, so it cannot tell one visitor from another. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is recorded.
There is no advertising network, no tracking pixel from any other company, no comment system and no account.
Email forms for free resources
This applies to all current free-resource and lead-magnet email forms on this site, including the homepage, articles, category pages, product pages, shop and dedicated download pages. They collect the email address you enter to request the Additive Tracker (free habit tracker), the Household Handover Starter, the Letter-Writing Starter or the Pricing Checks email course. Each form identifies the resource it offers. The Pricing Checks form asks you to tick a box before it will send: it is five emails and our occasional emails about pricing what you make, so we ask for those in so many words.
When you submit a form while the email service is configured, Indigo & Paper stores your address in its Resend audience, emails the requested resource link, and, where a follow-up sequence exists for that resource, starts it. Not every resource has one. Resend receives the resource requested and the source label "site" with that request so it can run the appropriate sequence, and, if you came from a test article, that test's label. Follow-ups may include related guides and Indigo & Paper products. Resend processes this information to provide the email service. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and using it stops all of them. If you unsubscribe and later tick the box on a form again, the emails are turned back on.
We do not collect the household details, contacts, records or habit entries you write in a downloaded resource. Keep completed copies private; do not send them to us. Public articles can be read without joining the email list.
If the email service is not configured, the form says so and offers the resource as a direct download instead. In that case the address is not submitted to, or stored by, the email service.
This site sets no cookies of its own.
One small note in your browser, for knowing which link led to a sale. When you arrive from another site, or through a tagged link such as one of our Pinterest pins, your browser keeps a note in this site's local storage: the referring site's name or the link's campaign tags, and the page you landed on. It holds no identifier, no email and nothing about you, it expires after 30 days, and it is not sent anywhere unless you click a Buy link (the page-view log above does not read it). Then it travels with you to the checkout as part of that link, so an order can be traced back to the pin or site that led to it, not to the person. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes it.
A second note, only after a test article. Reading an article that is part of a product test stores that test's label and the time in the same local storage, for the same 30 days. The label, not you, is what the page-view log, a Buy link (and so the checkout) and an email form carry, so we can see whether the test led anywhere. It holds nothing about you and clears the same way.
A correction, recorded rather than quietly fixed. Until 2 September 2026 this page said there was no analytics script at all. That was written when it was true and was not updated when analytics arrived with the deployment, so for a short period this page understated what the site does. Nothing was collected that is described differently above — the tool has always been the cookieless one named here — but the page was wrong, and a privacy page that is wrong is worth more than a correction buried in a changelog.
What the host sees
Pages are served by a static hosting provider. Like every web server, it processes the technical information your browser sends in order to deliver a page — IP address, browser type, the page requested, the time. That is standard server operation rather than a choice made by this site, and the data is not combined with anything else here.
What happens when you buy something
Checkout is handled by Polar (polar.sh) as merchant of record: they take the payment, handle any sales tax or VAT due, and deliver the file by email and through their customer portal. No page on this site loads a checkout script. A Buy link sends you to Polar's checkout page, carrying which product it is and the campaign tags described above.
The checkout provider's privacy policy governs from the moment you land on their checkout, not this one. Polar holds the payment details; this site never receives them and has no way to. Indigo & Paper can see the orders placed for its products in Polar's dashboard, as any seller can.
A second correction. Products went back on sale on 12 September 2026, and until 13 September this section still said nothing was on sale and promised to be rewritten first. It was not, for one day. It is now.
This site carries no affiliate links. It used to; see how this site makes money for what changed and when. Old /go/ addresses now redirect to the shop on this domain and reach no merchant.
Following an ordinary link
Ordinary links go straight to the destination site and this site learns nothing about it.
Children
This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Cloudflare Web Analytics is aggregate and cannot identify you. If you joined the email list, you can unsubscribe from any email or contact Indigo & Paper to ask about the address held in the email audience. Order and payment data is held by Polar, the merchant of record; requests about it go to Polar.
Changes
If this site adds another way of collecting data, this page will say so. The analytics correction above is the reason that promise is specific: it was made in good faith and then missed once, because the change arrived from the host rather than from an edit here.
Last updated 19 October 2026: the Pricing Checks course is now five emails (a market-day sum and one email about the Maker Business Bundle were added). 9 October 2026: the Three Pricing Checks email course and its consent box were added, and the first email of every free resource now carries its own unsubscribe link. 5 October 2026: the kind of site that sent you can now be the name of a resource site we asked to list our free tools. 4 October 2026: data requests about orders and payments go to Polar, and old /go/ addresses are described correctly. The 3 October 2026 update describes the page-view log (from 2 October 2026) and the Buy-click, signup and test-label events it records (from 3 October 2026). The previous update (20 September 2026) extended the email-collection description to all three current free resources and their follow-up sequences.
