What is in it
- Two worked examples carrying real arithmetic: stock and payments through to a closing cash count that is £2.00 short, and what to do about it.
- Count the stock, open and sold, with returns and gifts recorded as separate types rather than folded into sales.
- Record the payments and track the cash movements — floats, change added, cash removed to a safe place, each with a reason.
- Close the cash box: a denomination count, expected against actual, and a difference you are told to investigate rather than adjust away.
