Terms and Conditions
The terms you agree to by using this site, what is being sold and by whom, and what these guides are and are not.
The short version
This is a site that publishes guides about paper, letters, journals and cutting machines. Some pages link to other people's shops and earn a commission. A few pages sell files made here. Reading costs nothing and requires no account.
By using the site you accept what follows. If you do not, the remedy is simply to stop using it.
Who you are buying from
There are two different things on this site, and they are worth keeping apart because different people are responsible for each.
Affiliate links send you to another shop. That shop sells you the product, takes your payment, and handles delivery, support and refunds. Indigo & Paper is not part of that transaction and cannot resolve a problem with it. Every page carrying an affiliate link says so at the top, and the disclosure page explains the arrangement in full.
Our own files are sold through Gumroad. Gumroad is the Merchant of Record, which means Gumroad is the seller of record for the transaction, takes the payment, and handles tax. Their terms and their refund policy govern the purchase itself. What each file contains, and what you may do with it, is stated on that product's own listing at the point of sale.
What these guides are
They are written from working through the problem, and they are information rather than professional advice. Nothing here is legal, financial, tax or safety advice.
Two limits worth naming plainly, because the subject matter invites them:
Guides that discuss font licensing describe how to read a licence. They do not tell you what your licence permits. Only the licence you actually hold does that, and if money depends on the answer, ask the seller in writing.
Guides that discuss making things for sale describe costs and process. They make no claim, promise or projection about earnings.
Craft and materials
Cutting machines, blades, heat presses and irons can injure you and can ruin material. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for your own machine. Settings quoted here were what worked on one machine with one batch of material, and yours will differ. Test on a scrap first.
Accuracy, and what happens when something is wrong
Guides are checked when written and the world moves. Prices change, merchants close programmes, software changes its interface, and a link that worked in August can be dead by November. Nothing here is warranted to be current, complete or fit for a particular purpose.
If you find something wrong, tell me and it gets corrected or removed. That is the actual remedy on offer and it is meant seriously.
What you may do with the writing
The articles, images and page designs on this site are the work of Indigo & Paper. Quote a paragraph with a link back, and that is genuinely welcome. Republishing whole articles, or feeding the archive into a dataset, is not.
Files you have bought are covered by their own listing, not by this paragraph.
Liability
The site is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, Indigo & Paper is not liable for loss arising from using it, from acting on a guide, or from anything that happens on a site you reached through a link from here.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
These terms change when the site does. The date below is the last revision, and material changes are noted on this page rather than applied silently.
