What is in it
- A nine-page hiring guide: the job written down; interview questions on experience, safety, approach and the practical side, each with a line for notes; a scoring sheet for up to three candidates; a reference-check script and record for two referees; a worksheet of terms to agree; a paid trial day and debrief; and a plan for the first week.
- A ten-page family binder in Word, to fill in and print for the nanny: at a glance, contacts, a page for each child, a medication log, the house, the daily rhythm, outings and the car, pets, daily notes, and an hours and pay record.
What it is not
It is not legal, tax or employment advice. The terms worksheet is a list of things to agree, not a contract. Pay, tax and employment rules for household employers differ by place, so the guide names them as things to check with your tax authority, labour department or an adviser. There is no medical consent form, because the form a doctor or hospital accepts varies; ask your paediatrician which one to use.

The binder was opened and saved in Microsoft Word for Windows (version 16) on 26 September 2026. Google Docs, Pages and Word for Mac have not been tested. The hiring guide is a standard PDF in US Letter.
What you may do with it
One household may use and adapt the files for its own childcare and give copies to its nanny or sitter. No resale or redistribution of the blank files.
